How can you know I love you
Unless I tell you so?
How can I say I love you,
If you appear to not want to know?
I find myself in a quandary
That is difficult to overcome;
But if I can get you to add two and two,
The truth will be in the sum.
If you take this small suggestion
And look into my eyes,
The truth you’ll find within them
Should eliminate surprise.
And if you have some common sense,
You’ll know my love is real,
And perhaps you’ll get on board with it
When you realize how I feel.
